This is an international forum that is open to any animal lover.

The aim of this site is to provide informative advice relating to caring for dogs or cats.

If you have a problem, someone on here will have probably experienced it at some point, and will be happy to help.

We do not welcome any defamatory comments about animals; this is a positive forum and we encourage people to solve their problems without using negative training methods or punishment.

We appreciate that everyone has differing opinions on things relating to their animals, but we ask that you respect this forum and try to keep your posts as diplomatic as possible. Remember that even the most experienced animal owner can make mistakes when caring for their pet and it is not constructive to abuse any forum members, even if their views are objectionable to you.

The information on this site predominantly relates to behavioural issues and we are by no means suggesting it as an alternative to the medical advice that a qualified veterinarian can provide in certain circumstances.  Vets are not required to intensely study behavioural problems and will generally refer clients to specialists in this field.  Please feel free to discuss any behavioural advice provided to you by your vet on this forum, particularly if you have any concerns.

Many behavioural problems have a medical root and your first port of call should always be your vet to rule out medical problems.

Jay - will this always stay at the top so people can read it as the first post?  Or will it get buried in subsequent pages?

Hey Jay

Please would it be possible to put the instructions on here(or somewhere!) of the 'tiny pic hosting' again?
Maybe it could be a link in itself for all the new comers that want to post pics?

Bettina -

I found it on Forum News and Information - Kumen posted it - maybe others will read it before they start posting:

1) Save your picture somewhere on your computer and remember where it is saved.
2) Open up a new internet explorer window and type in www.tinypic.com.
3) Click on browse.
4) Find the picture that you have saved, click on it and click open.
5) You will be back at the tinypic website and be able to see that the link to your picture is now in the dialogue box.
6) Click on 'host it.'
7) It will say 'successfully hosted.'
There are 4 options at the bottom - Link, Tag, Img and Url.
9) Copy the whole of the Img bit.
10) Paste it into your message.
11) Click on 'preview', which is at the bottom next to 'post,' to check that it works and then post it

Hi there
Tried the tinypic.com idea, but the site appears to be no longer available. Anyone got any other ideas? Also, I can no longer see the photos I looked at last night - I've had my settings checked and they're fine. Apparently the problem lies with this site's settings, though I don't understand how (Ms Nontechie 2005 and beyond)
Any chance the administrator can have a squiz to see if there's a problem? I spent hours last night enjoying the pics.... even missed CSI/Law& Order/the Shield etc; which is practically unheard of!

Hi Jay
I can see some of the little ones on the left, but most are blank rectangles with a red x in the top left-hand corner. But the best ones are the ones that people have posted - 'cats being naughty' etc; Wierd thing is, I could see them all last night, but they're just not there today. Some of the posts I read have said that they can't see them either and one even said s/he could see them briefly, then they'd disappear.
I've had all my settings checked, restarted and so on, but no joy.
I'd also like to post some, but can't get 'tinypic.com' Probably couldn't see them anyway, mind! Ha!!

I only recently discovered that one of my security programmes was the problem. I don't quite know how, but my son's friend went straight to it, disabled the prog. and, lo and behold, the pics are back, in all their glory. (But isn't that infuriating, when your kids know better!? Still I'm grateful, really!)

If the site of Tiny Pic isn't working, try this one: http://www.photobucket.com

You have to register, but it's pretty easy and it won't cost you anything.

This place gives you an album, so you can just use that account any time you want to host a picture and put it up somewhere.

Just thought I'd bring it up, for those who have trouble with Tiny Pic.
