We are all aware that a leg amputation is an extremely traumatic thing to experience, not only for the poor animal, but also your self. Its an awfully stressful time and can be very expensive. It's also not a nice thing to have to go through with no advice, or help from anyone.
We've been through it with Archie who lost his back leg in an accident.
There was no help for us, so we wrote a website explaining the before, the during and the after of amputation. Feel free to read his story, so that perhaps you don't get too shocked by the twists and turns of the situation.
I couldn't bare to read it because I get far too emotional over animals and think it would be too much for me to read already being in a delicate state of mind but given you a karma point for supporting Archie who I am sure appreciates it as we would all support our furries through anything like that.
Archie, I have awarded you a karma point too because I know there are some people who have gone through this (quite recently) and I am sure your website will be of use to them. My own cat is an indoor cat, so no fears of that anyway.
Oh that was so lovely it brought a tear to my eye! If I didn't know he only had 3 legs then it would have been practically impossible to tell from that video. It just shows how well they can adapt and how they can go on to have long and happy lives under such circumstances.
